 Scouting the Jazz The Mavericks are catching Utah in a good spot as the Jazz had to play at home Monday night against Houston. The Mavericks haven't played since Saturday. ... The Colony product Deron Williams is off to a blazing start, averaging 24.5 points and 11 assists after two games. ... The Jazz has been fighting injury woes early in the season, with Matt Harpring (ankle, knee), Kyle Korver (knee) and Skyline product C.J. Miles (left thumb) out and center Mehmet Okur (left ankle, knee) listed as a game-time decision. ... The Jazz is averaging five more rebounds than opponents through two games. Scouting the Mavericks Last season, they went 0-4 at home before breaking through and eventually finishing 32-9. "They're aware of that," coach Rick Carlisle said of his team's 0-1 start this year. "We don't want to revisit our start last year. But there are no guarantees." ...
