MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Minnesota Timberwolves have worked out final contract details with restricted free agent center Ryan Hollins.
The Timberwolves signed the former Dallas center to an offer sheet on Aug. 3. The Mavericks had seven days to match Minnesota's three-year deal worth more than $7 million, but declined. The deal was completed Monday.Hollins has averaged 2.7 points and 1.8 rebounds in 132 NBA games with Charlotte and Dallas. The Timberwolves think the 7-footer from UCLA might fit in well as a backup in the team's new up-tempo style.
Hollins was drafted by the Bobcats in the second round in 2006 and was traded to the Mavericks in January.
