Manu Ginobili missed the first 12 games after off-season ankle surgery but has begun to regain his spark, hitting 7 of 18 3-pointers in the last three games. ... Newcomer Roger Mason has been a hit, averaging nearly 14 points and shooting a robust 48 percent on 3-pointers. Scouting the Mavericks They are 5-8 when opponents reach 90 points and 6-0 when they don't. ... Jason Kidd has done everything well lately, except shoot the ball. He's 2-for-13 from 3-point range in the last four games, 5-for-21 overall. ... Josh Howard may return, but even if he does, Devean George has gotten the coach's attention with his defense.
