Now he'll start the 2009-10 season with another new team.
The 11-year NBA forward agreed to a deal with the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday, according to a report by The Dallas Morning News.
Several outlets have reported that Gooden signed a one-year deal worth $4.5 million plus incentives.
Shortly after the signing, he let his plans be known via Twitter.
"Dallas here I come," Gooden tweeted.
The Mavericks will be Gooden's seventh NBA team.
After finishing last season with 11.9 points and 7.1 rebounds per game, the 6-foot-10, 250-pound native of Oakland, Calif., owns a career average of 12.0 points and 7.9 rebounds.
