Records: Grizzlies, 9-18; Mavericks 15-11

Lineups

Grizzlies: Kyle Lowry, 6-1, O.J. Mayo, 6-4, Rudy Gay, 6-8, Marc Gasol, 7-1, Darko Milicic, 7-1.

Mavericks: Jason Kidd, 6-4, Josh Howard, 6-7, Devean George, 6-8, Dirk Nowitzki, 7-0, Erick Dampier, 6-11.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

Dallas is 8-0 when holding opponents to less than 90 points. No opponent has shot better than 50 percent against the Mavs all season. Nowitzki has a double-double in 11 of his last 17 games. Kidd assisted on 11 field goals with no turnovers in the Mavs' 97-86 win Sunday at Washington. It was the 23rd game in which Kidd recorded at least 10 assists without a turnover, breaking a tie with Maurice Cheeks for the fourth-highest total since the NBA started tracking individual turnovers in 1977. Jason Terry is making his case as the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year. Terry is averaging 21.2 points on 47-percent shooting. Terry has outscored the opponent's bench 11 times this season. The Mavericks are 8-3 in those games.

THE SKINNY

Memphis' current 12-game losing streak against Dallas is the club's longest active streak against any opponent. The Griz, who are 7-45 all-time against the Mavs, have never beaten Dallas inside FedExForum (0-9 in the regular season; 0-10 including postseason). Memphis has won just one game in 15 tries at Dallas since relocating from Vancouver to Memphis.

THE QUOTE

"I don't know if that's a question to answer. Me and J.J. ( Barea ) bring the same thing to the table. I'm just 6-7. About all I could see just watching the whole time is that I'm taller, he's shorter." - Mavs guard Josh Howard when asked about fitting in after missing 11 straight games.
