--G Jason Kidd made the most out of his Los Angeles stay. The NBA's active leader in assists racked up another 21 this weekend, with 11 against the Lakers and another 10 against the Clippers. The Mavs won both games.
--G Rodrigue Beaubois made his NBA regular-season debut Friday against the Lakers, registering three minutes in the win. F James Singleton and G Matt Carroll also saw their first action of the season in the game.
MEDICAL WATCH:
--F Tim Thomas (knee surgery) is rehabbing from surgery on Sept. 22. The free-agent signee was injured working out this offseason. He's not expected back for at least the first month of the season.
--F Josh Howard (ankle surgery) is getting close to a return. He's increased his workout regimen and could be back in early-to-mid November.
--F Drew Gooden (rib cage) is having an MRI exam in Dallas on Sunday. His playing status will be evaluated after the results.
