Dallas Mavericks Notes, Quotes 2009-05-11
--The Mavs dropped to 17-2 at home since the All-Star break. Both losses have come to the Nuggets, once in the regular season and again in Game 3 on Saturday. Dallas dropped to 0-7 against Denver this season and 0-3 at home.

--In Games 1 and 2, Denver shot an average of 16.5 more free throws than the Mavs. In Game 3, Dallas outshot Denver, hitting 40 of 49 free throws (.816), while the Nuggets made 32 of 40 (.800). However, the Mavs will particularly remember four missed free throws in the fourth quarter, one each by Dirk Nowitzki, Josh Howard, Jason Terry and Brandon Bass.

--While the non-call in the waning moments of the game ultimately doomed the Mavs, they'll look back on a first half in which the Nuggets shot below 30 percent for much of it, yet the Mavs couldn't build a lead and trailed at halftime, 48-45.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "There is absolutely nothing to say after that." -- Mavs owner Mark Cuban, his verbatim postgame tweet after the controversial ending to Game 3, a 106-105 Denver victory.
