--G Allen Iverson was all the talk Monday in Dallas. The former MVP and four-time scoring champ was in town negotiating with the Sixers, but nothing had been finalized by gametime. Did the Mavericks discussing adding A.I.? "It's a non-starter concept and topic for us because we have 15 guys," coach Rick Carlisle said. "So it wouldn't even come up unless there was a trade. And how do you trade for a free agent?"
Owner Mark Cuban quipped: "A.I.? We talking A.I.? We're not talking Mavericks here. We're talking A.I.."
--F Shawn Marion continues to take his spot in the starting lineup despite an ankle injury that doesn't seem to be improving. He's played on it the last four games, including Monday against Philadelphia, after missing three games.
"I'm just taking it one day at a time," Marion said. "It's still sore and hurting. We're treating it, trying to get it stronger, but it is what it is. I'm trying the best way I can to fight through it and help my teammates."
QUOTE TO NOTE: "He hit a great shot. Tremendous. Much needed, obviously." -- Coach Rick Carlisle on Jason Terry's game-winning jumper Monday against Philadelphia.
