Dirk Nowitzki had 25 points and 10 rebounds, Jason Kidd contributed 18 points and 13 boards, and the Dallas Mavericks won their first home game of the season on Friday night. Jason Terry added 20 points for the Mavericks, returning from a 3-0 road trip.
Dallas had been 0-4 at home, losing to playoff contenders Houston, Cleveland, the Los Angeles Lakers and Orlando before getting on track against Memphis.
O.J. Mayo scored 19 points, and Mike Conley and Rudy Gay added 14 apiece for the Grizzlies, who've lost 12 straight to the Mavericks and are 7-45 all-time against Dallas.

Chris Duhon scored a season-high 20 for the Knicks, who dressed the league-minimum eight players after trading three players in a pair of deals earlier Friday. Out the door were New York's top two scorers, Zach Randolph and Jamal Crawford, along with guard Mardy Collins.
Milwaukee's Andrew Bogut had 14 points and 17 rebounds. Rookie Luc Richard Mbah a Moute added eight points and 13 rebounds - including 10 in the first quarter - for the Bucks, who broke a three-game losing streak.

Joe Johnson scored 30 points, Marvin Williams added 22 and host Atlanta pulled away in the closing minutes.
Charlotte went ahead for the final time in a back-and-forth final period when Raymond Felton hit a jumper from the top of the key, giving the Bobcats an 81-80 lead.

Vince Carter scored 39 points against his former team, Devin Harris added 30 and the New Jersey Nets rallied from an 18-point, third-quarter deficit to win in overtime on the road.
Carter sent the game to overtime by making a 3-pointer with 0.8 of a second remaining in regulation, capping a stretch that saw him score 12 consecutive points for the Nets.

Tracy McGrady scored 14 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter, Yao Ming added 18 and the Houston Rockets won in Washington.
Quiet for most of the game, McGrady hit a pair of 3-pointers in a 9-0 run that wiped out a nine-point deficit and tied it with 7 minutes to play.

Elton Brand beat his former team with his biggest basket for his new one.
Brand hit a 15-footer with 57 seconds left and finished with 17 points in his first game against Los Angeles, leading host Philadelphia.
Los Angeles wasted a six-point lead with 2:50 left in the game. Andre Iguodala converted a three-point play and Andre Miller hit a 3-pointer to get the Sixers within one.
Then Brand, who bolted the Clippers and signed a free-agent deal with the Sixers, nailed the winner.
Magic 100, Pacers 98
Dwight Howard had 24 points, 17 rebounds and five blocks, and Orlando won in overtime on the road.
Howard blocked a potential game-winning shot at the end of regulation, then altered what would have been a game-tying shot in the closing seconds of OT.
Rashard Lewis scored 23 points for the Magic and made what turned out to be the game-winning basket with 23 seconds left in overtime.
Jameer Nelson added 22 points and nine assists in Orlando's fifth straight win.

In his first game on the court since being traded before last season, Garnett scored 17 points to help visiting Boston cruise .
Al Jefferson scored 23 points for the Timberwolves. But he shot just 8 of 20 and the Timberwolves were shooting a jaw-dropping 23 percent heading into the fourth quarter before finishing at 31 percent.
The Celtics outscored Minnesota 35-10 in the decisive third quarter, with Garnett putting away two alley-oop passes and throwing down two more dunks to the delight of hundreds of fans wearing his No. 5 Celtics jersey and still more sporting his old blue No. 21.
Garnett was injured in Boston's only game here last season, which kept him from playing in the arena he called home for 12 brilliant seasons.
